WHERE IT STARTED
Club Sweetness was created by Nathan Jay. The first party took place at The Worship in Shoreditch and attracted more than 600 people. What began as a new London house party quickly started to grow.

Jay Funk De-Luxe is the DJ and production partnership of Nathan Jay and Jay Stammers — two long-time friends whose musical paths eventually came together behind the decks at Club Sweetness.
Both brought their own history to the partnership. East London-born Jay came through pirate radio and more than two decades behind the decks, while Nathan's roots run through funk, disco and house, alongside years of production and releases.
But Jay Funk De-Luxe wasn't planned. Nathan and Jay jumped behind the decks together at Sweetness for what was supposed to be a bit of fun. The chemistry worked, the crowd reacted — and something that happened naturally on the dance floor became a proper DJ partnership.

The partnership has moved naturally into production, with original releases and remixes through Cleveland City Records and 543 Studios, alongside edits and bootlegs made firmly with the dance floor in mind.

MINISTRY OF SOUND
As Sweetness grew, one of its landmark moments came when the brand hosted the Baby Box at Ministry of Sound for Roger Sanchez's Release Yourself.
SWEETNESS RETURNS
After Nathan had stepped away from DJing and the music scene, Sweetness went quiet. During the Covid period he met Jay Stammers through music. As the world reopened, the idea of bringing Sweetness back took shape — not to recreate the past, but to begin a new chapter.
THE STORY CONTINUES
The return exceeded expectations. The parties grew, the Candy Crew grew with them, and Sweetness developed into the daytime house community it is today. More than twenty years after that first Shoreditch party, Nathan Jay remains at the helm of Club Sweetness, now alongside Jay Stammers as they continue to take the brand forward together.
